Plan D Finale
I’m going to shoot myself into space so that no one can hear me whine. I just had a moment of clarity. I’m not depressed or angry … I’m embarrassed. As an anglo, that’s a state of mind I can understand. To celebrate the enormous effort I put in to do nothing but build some muscle, I donated blood today. O Neg. 7% of Canadians have it but everyone can use it! Regardless of the weight problem, I am very happy with how much stronger I am. I have abdominal muscles that are holding the damn hernia in place and I no longer fear for my lower back. I was scared every day that it would go out. Plus my expensive suit hangs a lot better. What’s next? First, a renaming. I’m heading into Phases. Phase 1 is done. Now for Phase 2. Over the holidays, while avoiding too much good food, I will ponder how to set up the correction I need. See you in 2017. |
Hello, reducing body fat by 6% is not nothing!
Also, do look into Yoni Freedhoff’s book, what is it… The Diet Fix. It is really solid on the psychology of the whole thing, as well as practical (and it is NOT a specific diet).
Keep going. You are going in the right direction – muscles, stronger, hernia caged in, lower back pain gone, and rocking the expensive suit? All positives. Except your blood. That’s negative. 😀
I always wondered why the blood donor clinic was always so positive about my negative blood! :-O
I think this chart looks great. Doesn’t it show that, in the course of losing 12.5 lbs, you’ve lost 23 lbs of fat? So you must have gained 10.5 lbs of something else. I’m betting it wasn’t hair, blood, teeth, brains, or ego … what could it have been ???? 🙂
For me, the goal for 2017 isn’t losing some amount of weight (that goal has never worked for me). Deep down the value is to live long with good health and be able to do the stuff I want to do, not be thinner. I know this must be true because I would sacrifice being thinner to be healthier, but I wouldn’t sacrifice my health to be thinner. The best goals are committed actions, that is, things you DO (like eating in a way that is good for your body and exercising and being active). If we do these things, our bodies will change and get stronger. Thanks for the inspiration!
